Semi Impact Forum 2025
June 13, 2025 | The Royal Society | London, UK
The Semiconductor Gateway to Taiwan– Why It’s Critical for Semiconductor Innovation
11:30 - 11:50 | Special Topic
In this session, Professor Konrad Young will explore how Taiwan’s world-leading semiconductor manufacturing capabilities can complement and empower innovation in global markets, particularly Europe’s stronghold in fabless IC design. As Western innovators lead in chip architecture and design, Taiwan’s robust and mature "fab" infrastructure offers critical support to turn ideas into silicon at scale. In conversation with SemiVenture’s Josh Liu, Professor Young will delve into how this synergy can drive meaningful collaboration and fuel the next wave of semiconductor innovation.
