    This session brings together international partners to share firsthand experiences collaborating with Taiwan in semiconductor development, highlighting both the opportunities and challenges they've encountered. Their insights will help inform more effective models for global cooperation with Taiwan’s advanced semiconductor ecosystem. The session will also feature the announcement of the *Semi-Gateway* initiative by the GTA Semiconductor Working Group—an effort designed to streamline access to Taiwan’s supply chain for global innovators and strengthen cross-border collaboration.

    Russ Shaw CBE

    Founder | Tech London Advocates & Global Tech Advocate

    Russ Shaw CBE is the founder of Tech London Advocates and Global Tech Advocates. He originally founded Tech London Advocates in 2013 to promote and support startups and scaleups and be an independent, grassroots voice for the community. Since then, he has been championing London and the UK as a global tech hub and campaigning to address some of the biggest challenges and opportunities facing tech companies in the UK.

    Global Tech Advocates, which Russ founded in 2015, is now present in over 40 hubs around the globe, with over 40,000 members. In 2019, Russ launched the inaugural GTA Festival, taking place in China and bringing the international network together for the first time. The second edition of the Festival was held in India in 2022.

    Russ was awarded a CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire) in the Queen’s New Year Honours List 2021 for services to technology and to business in London. He is a founding partner of London Tech Week, an advisor for Future Energy Ventures and a member of the Chatham House Science & Technology group..

    He has a BSc in Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

    Professor Konrad Young

    Professor Young was a director of R&D at TSMC and one of the six pioneering R&D leaders who laid the groundwork for TSMC's success.

    After leaving TSMC, he joined SMIC (Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation), the largest state-owned + semiconductor foundry in China, before moving to Intel, another semiconductor giant, as a senior advisor.

    Dr. Ebrahim Bushehri

    CEO | Lime Microsystems

    Dr. Ebrahim Bushehri is founder of Myriad RF, a family of open source hardware projects providing design for low-cost and fully configurable RF boards and modules. Bushehri is also CEO of Lime Microsystems, a fabless semiconductor company that develops RF/analog mixed signal solutions for Radio Access, covering 2G to 5G networks. His experience spans more than 20 years in directing and managing design teams for the implementation of high performance integrated circuits within the wireless communication market.

    Previously, he was working with organizations such as Nokia Networks, QinetiQ (formerly Defence Evaluation and Research Agency), and Fraunhofer IAF. Ebrahim was a professional group committee member of Institution of Electrical Engineers (IEE) and is a member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
