Colley Hwang
Founder & President of DigiTimes
Colley Hwang, founder of DigiTimes, is a leading semiconductor advisor to the Taiwanese government and major tech giants, including TSMC. He’s written a few influential books in the semiconductor space, including his latest book: The Silicon Island-A Blessing in Disguise?: A Place where Semiconductors & Geopolitics meet
As an influential figure in the tech and semiconductor industry, he provides strategic insights and analysis. His company, DigiTimes, is backed by prominent Taiwanese tech leaders, including TSMC’s founder, Dr. Morris Chang, and Acer’s founder, Stan Shih.
In his talk, he will discuss the latest AI trends—from chips to data centres powering demanding computing workloads. He will analyse the rapidly evolving semiconductor landscape under the current US dominance and explore how the UK and Europe should respond.
RETURNING SPEAKER OF HONOR
Professor Konrad Young
Arculus Labs
Professor Young was a director of R&D at TSMC and one of the six pioneering R&D leaders who laid the groundwork for TSMC's success.
After leaving TSMC, he joined SMIC (Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation), the largest state-owned + semiconductor foundry in China, before moving to Intel, another semiconductor giant, as a senior advisor.
